Hey all! It's another hot week around here and I've been craving all things cold and icy. I was making a strawberry protein shake the other day, when the idea to make ice pops came to mind. I simply poured my shake into a popsicle mold and boom, here we are.

First things first, this recipe isn't going to be creamy like ice cream. It's on the icy side but melts nicely. As mentioned above, the base of this recipe is my protein shake and I used a scoop of vanilla protein powder. I don't know what it would look like or taste like without it. If you decide to try this recipe without it, let me know how it turned out.

INGREDIENTS

PREP

Add almond milk, protein powder, yogurt and strawberries to a blender or blender cup. Blend until smooth. Pour equal parts into a popsicle mold. Let popsicles set for a few minutes before covering. This will help any froth settle before freezing. Freeze for at least 4 hours and done.

It may not be ice cream, but it's a healthy and refreshing treat with protein. If you track macros, add all macros together and divide by the quantity of popsicles made. Example; 40 grams of protein divided by 4 is 10 grams of protein per popsicle. My mold only makes three popsicles so I drink the rest. It's truly yummy as is (protein shake). Try it that way too. It's my favorite protein shake to make at home!

Keep at your goals my loves, stay cool and happy summer!
